May 2012 - Hi folks...well we final got some sun and it's just in time for some great events here in Victoria. First, the weekend of June 1-2 features the annual Easter Seals' 24 Hour Relay for The Kids up at Univ. of Victoria. This fun event goes from 10am Saturday through 10am Sunday and raises a ton of funds to help "give kids abilities" and send them to Camp Shawnigan. I'll be a sponsor once again and taking photos all weekend -- check out last year's fun photos in Easter Seals' gallery below, along with photos from previous years and The Drop Zone. Also coming up soon this summer is the 2012 Victoria Cycling Festival, featuring a number of cycling events around Greater Victoria - with the two main ones being the Ryder Hesjedal Tour de Victoria (long ride across Greater Victoria and the Bastion Square Sprint Series). Photos from last year's cycling festival are in the 2011 Victoria Cycling Festival group below.

I think it’s great. If you have had your portfolio online already you may also start selling your photos to magazines, there several thousands in US alone. If you're keen and you don't mind sitting at the computer all day you can find all of those magazines in the Internet. Also, there are quite a few really good books and websites out there if you go looking. My suggestion is to check one of them – http://www.freelance-market.net – and try a couple magazines until you find out what does the job right for you. Of course there are others, the good sites will give you all the information you need to start that includes links, description, payments, etc... without the information overload.
